Journey 2 3D

Watched on my 42″ Panasonic Plasma TV.

This movie was quite enjoyable. I love how Hollywood can take a few things from classic books and run with it. There is a bit of romance, comedy, and adventure weaved throughout the movie. The comedy tends to be juvenile and I would have liked the writers to do a better job with that part.

The coloring and lighting are so beautiful as is the scenery. The depth of the 3D is fantastic. There are some things that come into your face. I would love to see this one on a big screen. There were a few scenes where the blending were not done well though. Just a minor thing, but I do expect more from big budget films…but it was from 2012 so this was pretty early in 3D bluray.

The lead actress, Vanessa Hudgens, reminds me of Mila Kunis. I should look up more of her movies since there is something about her I like. Michael Caine plays the British grandfather, and he is quite the character.

Side note…I want to ride a giant bee.
