Transformers Dark of the Moon 3D

2 hours 37 minutes of my life I will never get back. This movie felt like it was made by a bunch of amateurs that had no clue what they are doing. Not even actors like Malkovich, Dempsey, McDormand, Turturro, and Tudyk could not save this movie. How the hell could Spielberg have been a part of this?!

Director = How many did they have anyway? So many styles and so much of it was piss poor. Shaky hand held to old stock footage to long shots to animation. None of it felt cohesive. The coloring wasn’t even consistent. There was no need for the footage of past history/presidents. It’s as if they felt they needed it to prove the legitimacy of the movie.

Cinematographer = The coloring was so horrible and inconsistent. Who wants to see a red John Malkovich?! Grain here, clear there, then beautiful cleanliness.

Of course the real question is how was the 3d? Well…flat scene, deep depth scene, people in 3D with flat background scene, and then someplace in between scene. The 3D was great in the scenes where it was all computer generated. These seemed to be the only people that knew what they were doing at all. They should have made this completely in computer. Those scenes were so beautiful. There…they could have made this movie 30 minutes long just showing those great scenes.

Story/writing: I found it pretty lame. Maybe if I had seen the previous movies it would have been better. The lovers felt so fake to me. I really didn’t care for any of the relationships in it. I mean with things like, they need slave labor…but the first thing they do is start murdering unarmed people when they land. Yawn.

I never play on my computer when watching a 3D movie. Totally did on this one because I was so bored. It sucks that I hated this so much because my edition came with a whole disc of extras…that I won’t be watching. And you know how much I love the extras.

Beginning of movie: Her workplace looks like the Milwaukee Art Museum.
Towards the end of movie: Wait…did they shoot it there? Because the outside is a dead ringer.

The book “She Comes First” is a good book. Lol

I saw this movie in 3D at the theater and I can tell you it was a great experience. The movie itself has some flaws, but the stereo image was simply amazing… say what you want about director Michael Bay, the man knows how to shoot action sequences! This is one of the most entertaining 3D movies to date, and is a no-brainer for anyone with a 3D TV.

Action packed. Video quality and audo we’re fantastic. 3D could’ve been better
