The 3D for this movie was pretty good. The depth was solid but dirfted out at times. The movie was not designed for 3D so there is not much to speak of concerning pop-outs. The story… well that was very weak and uninteresting. While I rank the first Wonder Woman movies as one of the most engaging superhero movies, this one, well, isn’t.

The storyline was great although some of it was hokey 80s. My favorite part was the Amazon warrior games at the beginning. I would love to see more movies set in this part of the world. Watched it in 2D to compare and this part felt like a TV episode. Skipped to the 1984 section and it still felt more like a TV show. Amazing how different 3D makes a movie feel. It didn’t even feel like I was watching the same movie. There was less film grain in the 2D version. Without the 3D, it felt like a cheesy movie. I can see why it got the hate from critics and such on its release. Most saw it in 2D. Oh my god, I can’t even handle watching it in 2D. I wonder if the other movies I’ve seen in 3D would make me feel the same way.
Although this has more color than most DC movies, the colors still felt muted. Didn’t the first Wonder Woman movie have lots of color? The fight scene between Wonder Woman and Cheetah was a waste with how dark and colorless it was.
Hope we get to see more of the Golden Warrior costume because it was so cool looking. Was it used in any other movie and I forgot?
Stay tuned to the credits. There is a nice cameo thrown in there.
There are some interesting extras full of color and no film grain. Fun fact, one of the Amazon warriors was Lucy Lawless’s stunt double in Xena.
I almost forgot the most important part! The 3D was decent and had more of an impact than I realized. The scenes weren’t set up for 3D so don’t expect anything special, but it is the only way to watch this movie.
